Arman Shakkaliev appointed first Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shakkaliev Arman was appointed to the post of First Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

Arman Shakkaliev was born in 1977 in Balkhash, Karaganda region.

He graduated from the Eurasian University named after Gumilyov, the Karaganda State University named after Buketov, and the Kostanay State University named after Dulatov.

He started his career as a legal advisor of the Agency for reorganization and liquidation of enterprises in Astana city and Akmola region.

From 2001 to 2002, he was a chief specialist, head of department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on State Material Reserves.

From 2002 to 2004, he was the head of the Analysis and Monitoring of Insolvent Enterprises Department of the Committee on Work with Insolvent Debtors of the Ministry of Public Revenues of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2004-2006, he was director of the Republican State Enterprise "Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology".

From 2006-2007, he was Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Work with Insolvent Debtors.

From 2007-2008, he worked in senior positions in the structures of the Ministries of Finance, Economy and Budget Planning, KazAgro Holding.

From 2008-2016, he was the director of the Republican State Enterprise KazInSt.

From 2016-2018, he was the Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

From 2018-2019, he was the chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2019-2020, he was the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since November 2020 and up to now, he has been a member of the Collegium (Minister) on Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Moscow.

Previously this position was vacated by Yerlan Battakov due to his transfer to another post.
