By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Birzhanov was appointed vice minister of labor and social protection of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Press Service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Yerzhan Birzhanov was born in 1979 in the North Kazakhstan region.

He began his career in 1999 as a senior tax inspector in the local tax sector of the Tax Committee for the North Kazakhstan region.

From 1999 to 2004, he worked in the Tax Committee for North Kazakhstan region.

From 2004 to 2014, he held executive positions in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From March to November 2014, he was an expert of the Department of Socio-Economic Monitoring of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From November 2014 to 2017, he worked as director of the Department for Development and Modernization of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From January to March 2017, he was deputy chair of the Board of the Joint Stock Company Republican Center Kazimpex.

In 2017-2018, he was head of the Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2018 to April 2020, he worked as director of the Republican State Enterprise "State Technical Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan».

From April 2020 to the present, he was head of the Department for Control and Coordination of Activities of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
