Zhaslan Madiyev appointed First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiyev was appointed First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Press Service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Madiyev was born in 1983 in Almaty. He graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He began his career in 2004 as a specialist in the Office for Work with International Financial Institutions of the International Relations Department of Alliance Bank JSC.

In 2007-2008 he was Chief Manager of the Corporate Finance Department of Kazyna Sustainable Development Fund JSC.

In 2008 he worked at the Center for Strategic Analysis and Research of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

In 2009-2010 he was Deputy Chair of the Board of KAZYNA CAPITAL MANAGEMENT JSC.

In 2010-2014 he was Managing Director, Board Member, Deputy Chair of the Board of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC.

In 2014-2015 he held senior positions in the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2017-2018 he was Acting Vice President, Vice President for Finance of National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.

In 2018 he was appointed Chair of the Board for Finance of National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.

In 2019-2020 he was Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From October 2020 he has served as Deputy Chair of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
