Askar Mamin instructs to expand coverage of population with vaccination against COVID-19

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy, Akims of Aktobe region Ondasyn Urazalin, Shymkent city — Murat Aytenov, Mangystau region — Serikbay Trumov reported on the current situation, the progress of vaccination of the population and measures taken to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The virus reproductive rate in the republic is 1.065. The workload of infectious beds is 41%, intensive care beds — 27%. To date, the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Akmola, Karaganda and Aktobe regions are in the red zone in terms of the spread of Covid-19. All other regions, with the exception of Turkestan and Kostanay regions, are in the yellow zone.

“It is necessary to expand the coverage of the population with vaccinations, especially in regions with low coverage. It is necessary to strictly fulfill the plan for monthly provision of vaccines for 2 million people,” Mamin said.

The Prime Minister instructed to constantly monitor the provision of high-quality medical care to patients with coronavirus and the availability of medicines.

Akimats, together with the Ministries of Health, Internal Affairs, NCE Atameken, were instructed to ensure compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements through active participation of mobile monitoring groups.
