Over 10 thousand police officers and military personnel of National Guard involved in quarantine actions — Yerlan Turgumbayev

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Minister of Internal Affairs Yerlan Turgumbayev a reported on ensuring law and order in the country and assisting health authorities in monitoring compliance with restrictive measures.

At the moment, in some regions, on the basis of decisions of sanitary doctors, 15 sanitary posts (Almaty — 9, Kostanay — 4 and Aktobe regions — 2) and 4 checkpoints in Atyrau region have been located. More than 10 thousand police officers and members of the National Guard are involved in quarantine measures. Cordoning off of 290 quarantine facilities is in progress.

Also, at transport facilities, medical doctors are assisted in filtering passengers. To this end, 18 control and observation points have been installed at the country's international airports, and 16 at railway stations.

The daily passenger traffic at these facilities is 31 thousand and 17 thousand people, respectively: up to 10 thousand passengers are registered daily in Nur-Sultan, in Almaty up to 20.5 thousand people daily.

“Since Jan. 1, 3,200 citizens who do not have PCR certificates have been quarantined from transport facilities. In recent days, up to 150 people are being quarantined every day,” the minister reported.

Work continues on the participation of more than 1,000 mobile groups to monitor compliance with quarantine restrictions.

So, since the beginning of the year, more than 9 thousand raid events have been held.

773 cases of quarantine violations were suppressed, while 77% of them were insignificant, this is the absence of masks, sanitizers, violation of social distance.

175 serious violations were revealed, of which 152 were in nightclubs, shopping centers and restaurants, 23 — on festive events.

Since the beginning of this year, violations by mobile groups have been actively detected in the Turkistan region — these are 458 cases, or almost 60% of all detected in the country.

At the same time, Minister Turgumbayev noted the weak work of the groups in those areas that are currently in the "red" zone.

“Due to the decrease in the activity of these groups, citizens began to break the mask regime more often in places of mass stay of people. Moreover, among the population there are facts of spreading false information about the harmlessness of the virus and the ineffectiveness of vaccines,” the minister noted.

In this regard, Yerlan Turgumbayev proposed, within the framework of joint work with akimats and chief sanitary doctors of the regions, to focus mobile groups on preventive work in shopping centers, cultural institutions, as well as to organize strict explanatory work with the owners of these institutions about the inadmissibility of violating restrictive measures.

In general, according to the head of the law enforcement department, the internal affairs bodies are taking all the necessary measures to ensure restrictive measures and maintain law and order in the country.
