Tugzhanov takes part in opening of International Neurosurgical Forum

Nur-Sultan hosted the International Neurosurgical Forum and the Film Festival “Neurosurgery: History, modernity, persons”. A feature of the events is that these are not just platforms for discussing topical issues in the field of neurosurgery and sharing experience, but also immersion in history, acquaintance with milestones in the development of neurosurgery and achievements in medicine. By the way, the International Film Festival of Neurosurgeons is held in Kazakhstan for the first time.

The opening ceremony of the forum and the film festival was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov, representatives of central and local government agencies and eminent scientists from the UK, USA, Israel, Russia, Japan, Italy, Switzerland.

The Deputy Prime Minister read out a congratulation from the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The President of the country noted that all conditions have been created in Kazakhstan for the exchange of experience and the development of advanced technologies in the field of neurosurgery. In the National Development Plan until 2025, the development of the healthcare system is one of the main priorities.

Tugzhanov noted that today's forum is a significant event in the scientific and practical sphere not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the world scientific community, and assured that thanks to the close cooperation of scientists and practitioners, the exchange of experience, the forum will give a new impetus to the development of neurosurgery and healthcare in general.

Within the framework of the forum and the film festival, reports of leading neurosurgeons from Japan, Israel, Italy, Switzerland, the USA, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are presented, as well as documentaries about their neurosurgical activities are shown.
