Government holds meeting of Headquarters for Implementation of Pre-election Program of the Nur Otan party

Deputy Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov chaired a regular meeting of the Headquarters for the Implementation of the Pre-election Program of the Nur Otan party «The path of change: A decent life for everyone!». The agenda of the meeting included issues of employment of university graduates, construction of new schools and business support.

By 2025, 800 new schools will be built in the country, 5,000 more schools in small towns, regional centers and villages will be modernized. It is also planned to provide schools in villages with high-speed Internet.

First Deputy Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov drew attention to the fact that all mechanisms must be used to eliminate the problems of emergency and three-shift schools. In particular, it is planned to use the mechanisms of public-private partnership, the opening of private schools, targeted construction at the expense of the state budget and the Employment Roadmap. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been instructed on these points.

The problem of employment of university graduates who have no work experience is also in the focus of the headquarters. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan is launching the First Workplace project with an average coverage of 5 thousand people per year.

Smailov noted the importance of these points, stressing that young specialists do not always manage to find a job immediately after graduating from a university or college, due to the fact that employers prefer more experienced personnel.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented statistics on unemployed youth and youth of the NEET category.

The deputy prime minister instructed the local executive bodies to present an analysis of the number of unemployed youth for further solving the issue of their employment, and also provide for the need to allocate funds from the local budget for the implementation of this item.

The headquarters also considered the issue of stimulating new business ideas for young entrepreneurs. In particular, the headquarters are confident that this is one of the most effective tools for supporting business. In 2020 alone, 45 thousand grants were allocated, 11 thousand of which were received by young entrepreneurs. It is assumed that 10 thousand grants will be allocated annually until 2025.

Smailov stressed that "the development of infrastructure for quality education is just as important as the support of employment of the population.’’

Also, the deputy prime minister noted that to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the party's election program, it is necessary to coordinate interaction of all levels of executive bodies. The most effective way to organize such interaction is project management. In this regard, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has created a special Office for monitoring the implementation of national projects.
