In the Republic of Kazakhstan, collected import customs duties to be distributed and credited as before – in US dollars

Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union provides for the obligations of member states to collect and mutually transfer import customs duties to each other's budgets. This mechanism is uniform in each state and includes the main stages: collection of import duties in national currencies from goods coming from third countries; splitting the received amounts of import duties in accordance with the established coefficients, converting it into US dollars and then sending them to the EAEU member states.

Due to the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation, it is not possible for member states to transfer import customs duties to the Russian Federation and Belarus in dollars.

As a result of the negotiations, the Kazakhstani version was supported: Russian rubles at the rate of national sending banks will be used to credit and distribute import customs duties to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

In the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic, the collected import customs duties will be distributed and credited, as before, in US dollars.
