Asset Issekeshev appointed head of the Presidential Administration

By the Decree of the Head of State, Issekeshev Asset Orentayevich was appointed head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is reported by the press service of Akorda.

September 10, 2018, the following decrees of the President of Kazakhstan: Relieved Adilbek Dzhaksybekov from the post of the head of the Presidential Administration in connection with the achievement of the retirement age; Relieved Bagdat Amreyev from the post of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the transition to another job.

Earlier Asset Issekeshev held the post of akim of Astana.

Issekeshev was born in 1971 in the city of Karaganda. In 1998, he graduated from the Higher School of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, in 1994 — the Law Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University.

He worked in the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, in the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2003 to 2006 he served as vice minister of industry and trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2006 to 2007, he was deputy board chairman of JSC Kazyna Fund for Sustainable Development.

From 2007 to 2008 — director for marketing of financial projects of Credit Swiss (Kazakhstan).

From February 2008 to May 2009 — assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Economic Affairs.

Since May 2009 — minister of industry and trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since March 2010 — Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since January 2012 — minister of industry and new technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since September 2012 — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since August 6, 2014 — minister for investments and development.

Since June 21, 2016 — akim of Astana city.
