Askar Mamin instructs to strengthen vaccination against influenza

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Minister of Healthcare Aleksey Tsoy reported that the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan was improving. In all regions, the rate of morbidity is significantly reduced during the month. The reproductiveness index of the virus is 0.88. The loading of infectious beds — 33%, resuscitation — 32%.

Turkistan, Zhambyl, Mangystau and Kyzylorda region are in the green zone on covid, Shymkent, Atyrau, Almaty, Aktobe, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan and East Kazakhstan region are in the yellow zone. The cities of Almaty and Nur-Sultan, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Akmola regions remain in the red zone.

To date, more than 7.5 million people vaccined the first component, 6.4 million people — with the second component.

The Head of Government instructed to continue vaccination of the population and keep the sanitary and epidemiological situation on constant control.

The Prime Minister noted the need to make preventive and anti-epidemic measures for influenza and other respiratory infections that are most applied in the autumn period.

For vaccination against influenza, 2.5 million doses of vaccines were prepared. To date, first of all children, people from risk group, medical workers are vaccinated.

"It is necessary to intensify the vaccination of the population against influenza and ensure the readiness of medical organizations to receive patients with influenza," said Mamin.
