Alikhan Smailov introduces new Akim of North Kazakhstan region

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov has arrived to Petropavlovsk city to take part in a meeting of deputies of Maslikhats of all levels of the North-Kazakhstan region.

Alikhan Smailov read out to the deputies a letter from the Head of State on the submission for consideration of two candidates for the post of akim of the region Ruslan Anbayev and Aidarbek Saparov.

The Prime Minister noted that each of the nominees has extensive professional experience and the necessary competence to run the region.

As a result of voting, 118 deputies out of 153 voted for Saparov, 35 deputies voted for Anbaev.

Presenting the new akim to the active part of the region, Alikhan Smailov noted that the leadership of the region faces the task of comprehensive development of economic and social spheres in the North Kazakhstan region.

Thus, the Head of State approved the Action Plan to implement the pre-election program "Fair Kazakhstan - for all and for all. Now and Forever", which envisages measures to improve living standards and well-being of citizens.

In particular, four new schools for 3.3 thousand pupils will be opened in the region under the Comfortable School National Project. As part of the National Project for Modernising Rural Health Care, it is planned to build 46 primary health care facilities and renovate one district hospital. Measures will also be taken to develop infrastructure in the agricultural sector, entrepreneurship in rural communities and to improve living standards in the countryside as a whole.

"The regional Akim should ensure the full and high-quality implementation of these strategic documents," Alikhan Smailov said.

He also noted the need to monitor the launch of new investment projects, as well as to take comprehensive measures to prevent the unjustified growth of prices for socially important food products, development of energy and communal infrastructure in the region.
