Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meets in Almaty in close format

Current issues of economic cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed in Almaty at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council close meeting.

The event was attended by Prime Ministers of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov and Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin.

The close panel is scheduled to discuss the regulation of the EEU alcohol market, the progress in preparing a draft international agreement on the formation of a common gas market, as well as the activities of the Union's regional development institutions.

"I am confident that the adopted decisions will make a significant contribution and give a new impetus to the further development of our integration association," Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said, addressing the EEU partners.
