At the government session chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered.
Minister of Healthcare Aleksey Tsoy reported on the current situation and the progress of vaccination of the population, Akim of Karaganda region Zhenis Kassymbek, Akim of Nur-Sultan Altay Kulginov, Akim of Shymkent Murat Aytenov spoke about the epidemiological state in the regions.
At the moment, in Kazakhstan, there is a dynamics of improving the situation with regard to the incidence of COVID-19. The reproductive index of the virus is 0.98. Employment of hospital beds — 36%, intensive care — 28%. There are 6 regions in the red zone: the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Akmola, Karaganda, Atyrau regions.
To date, about 1.9 million people have been vaccinated in Kazakhstan with the first component, and almost 800 thousand people with the second component. There is a sufficient volume of vaccines available in warehouses and medical institutions. Vaccinations are on schedule.
“It is necessary to continue working to increase vaccination coverage in the regions. Akims are keeping this issue under special control. At the same time, those who wish should have the right to choose a vaccine and receive relevant information,” Mamin said.
The Head of Government instructed the Ministry of Healthcare to clearly define the intervals between vaccinations, to respond to the requests and wishes of the population.
The Prime Minister noted the need to continue the work of monitoring groups to monitor compliance with restrictive measures.
“The use of the Ashyq application shows a positive experience. Thanks to this, the business opportunities in the service sector have improved, the safety of visitors to establishments has increased. The scope of the application should be further expanded,” Mamin said.
